Pineapple Sorbet

Vika, and now, this link is for you! YUM. Wish I had a food processor (for the umpteenth time).

I'll give you my Cuisinart once I get a replacement! You'll need to get a regular blade for it, around $30, but it's still a Cuisinart super-powered food processor!

Why do you need a replacement?

Part of the reason I don't have one is space... You have seen my kitchen!

Well I don't use the Cuisinart bc it doesn't have a real blade. So I'll probably get one similar to Vika's. Do you have a blender? I used mine the other day and made incredible hummus from that Cilantro recipe...

Strange that it lacks a blade... I kinda thought that was the point.

I have used my hand blender to make hummus with pretty good success. It just takes a bit longer, I suspect.

Yay for cilantro hummus. I am guess you did your recipe? :)

I got my Cuisinart at a yard sale for $5. Thus the not having a blade...It came with a few other slicing, etc tools, but I didn't know enough about them to know it didn't have a standard slicing blade.

We have a small food processor that makes horrible, lumpy hummus. It's about the diameter of a CD. It's just not powerful enough to smooth out the chickpeas.

Yes, I did my recipe, and put in 5 cloves of garlic instead of 2 and didn't bother with the jalapenos. Surprisingly it was spicy enough for Mike and I and yet not too spicy for Devon. And used fresh cilantro- makes allll the difference in the world!

That makes more sense! I remember when you got that. It still isn't a bad deal, even if you had purchased the blade.

This is what I have. It takes a bit of time, but makes very smooth hummus or pesto. Easy to clean too!

Sounds good. Cilantro hummus was pretty amazing. MMMM.
