Vika's weekend in NYC

So this is what I have so far (I think)

Wed, get in town, Rafe goes straight to hotel in NYC
Thurs, rehearsal dinner
Fri, wedding
Sat, hanging out, dinner that night w/ Sarah & Jaime, and Rafe's friends, and Mike's friend-possibly our friend Molly can come to this, too. So dinner w/ a friend night.
Sun, go home.

Is this right?

Realized we didn't tell Sarah about these plans..

Pretty hilarious that I had no idea about these plans...the good news is I am still free next Saturday.

These "friends" better not all be guys someone is trying to set me up with. Let me know about Molly.

Yay dinner! There will be some Darden guys there, but I think most of them are dating someone, so no setting up from our side :)

So I am safe afterall? Rafe was just trying to scare me. :)

How many people will we have? Is this going to be a huge group where we need a reservation?

I didn't realize yall had commented on this post...Damn, no setting up Sarah? I'm not coming. jk.

What do yall want to eat?

Rafe suggested No. 1 Chinese on LES. He says good food and great for groups...

Here's a review he forwarded me:
As you approach No. 1 Chinese, Frank Prisinzano's new restaurant on Avenue B (@ 4th St.), the stench of smug self-satisfaction intensifies. It's hardly an olfactory amuse-bouche. But you can't blame Frankie P., who knows full well that his ever-expanding below 14th food empire will suck you in and charge you twice what you'd pay for Chinese food twenty blocks south—and that, despite your better instincts, you'll like it. Over a year in the making, No. 1 Chinese reunites Frank with his partner at Hue, and apparently adds another partner to the mix. Whatever. The result is Supper gone Chinese, with a large open kitchen and dining area upstairs and a dark bar and lounge for dining downstairs. The food has a clean edge to it—General Tso was spared his usual drowning—and, despite the prices, it's a raw inevitability that the place will be jammed before the month is out. But last night, on its first night open to the public, the downstairs lounge was deserted, and we sampled food off the plates of the barstaff. The window is open—you've got a week of grace until NYMag blurbs it up next Monday.

I feel like he always suggests that. We could do it tho the drinks are started to be pricey on yelp. But I can't drink much anyway. :)

Here is the actual website, which I haven't really checked out.

Yeah, if yall want Chinese that sounds good.

Sarah, you have to eat 3 eggrolls for every drink you consume. haha. :)

There isn't a science to it. Eggrolls may or may not help.

I was okay this weekend. 4 drinks + 2 rock candy swizzle sticks w/ them + pizza at 3 am + 1 glass of water before bed with nasty hangover stuff + 1 glasses drunk every time I woke up to pee (3 times).

Can I go ahead and invite Molly or do we have too many people? We should make sure everyone tries to have cash if it really is a big group...

What did you eat before drinking? What kind of drinks did you have? There has to be away to figure out your hangover formula using proper scientific method.

Jaime, Mike + Mike's guest Tang (will ask Mike if he's up for it).

Zucchini from that "juicy" recipe... Not sure what else. Can't remember. :)

I stuck to Vodka. I have found having one liquor, minimizing sugar, and maximizing water all work in my favor, though they don't promise anything.

What was the yucky hangover stuff you mentioned?

Can we find out if they serve more than wine, sake and martini's? Bc I don't like any of the above....

I linked the website or you could call... I am sure they are open. ;)

Vika, Rafe, and hopefully Thomas (Rafe's Darden roommate) & Charlie (Darden friend) plus possibly their significant others. I think that's all from our side.

I love you guys, but if this turns into a dinner full of couples (beyond the 4 of you) and me, I will be meeting you after for drinks. That isn't any more appealing than having one extra guy. I don't even like big group meals in the first place because you can't actually catch up with more than the people beside you. Might seem childish, but I have reasons that I feel are valid.

I think if they serve martini's that means they serve liquor and you can request whatever drink you want, no?
