Everything's the same

Doesn't this look just like the clutch I got at MNG in NYC? The colors are a little bit different but the shape is exactly the same. And I paid way way less. In fact, it's on sale on MNG website for a $13.99 now. Here's a pic of it:
It's too bad their stuff doesn't fit that well because they have some cute things on sale.

It does the look the same, but less cute!!! Their products were random.

We are getting a Topshop in Soho this Fall! ;)

I read about Topshop. That's exciting. I can't wait to move back to NYC! And hopefully have some money to shop with :)

I'm sure you will... I guess you'll also have student loans and possibly a mortgage though, which might level the playing field and make me feel not so poor in comparison to the new MBA. ;)

Haha, yeah, I wouldn't worry about it...

Anyway, we're going to look at an apartment over lunch today. Now, we're just looking for something cheap and trying to negotiate a 6 month lease. That way I don't have to move out of my apartment and then live by myself when he moves up to NYC.

Yes, I know I said I would never live with a boy :) But he's soooo cute. Haha. We're going to get our fingers measure for ring sizes this week...

Yay, how exciting! Sorry I'm trying to finish up a project this morning so I'm reading everything but not commenting, but rings and moving in, yay! I think it's for the better bc you can work out the roommate kinks earlier. And they can be a doozy.

NP. Well... technically I had an apartment, but I haven't actually stayed there since probably December... So yeah, we've been working on those roommate kinks.

I thought you stayed there some. I didn't realize you were that moved in! Nice reason. Ha. Just goes to show never say never. ;)

Yay for ring sizes!

Haha, yes, I've taken over most of the closet by spring break :)

How does it not fit well? It could have been a bad garment from the factory...
Oooh, Topshop, fun!
Vika doesn't need an apartment. She just needs more closet space. ;)

Dunno, like Zara stuff, everything was just a little bit off for me...

Looked at an apartment. Sigh. Compared to Rafe's place now, it's... But it's cheap, we're trying to negotiate a 6 month lease.

We got measured, my ring size is 5, in case anyone here wants to buy me a ring. :) I think I've settled on ruby for my stone. Saying no to diamonds.

Ok, you really can't compare it to Rafe's apt now bc it's just not fair and you're not going to be there that long, anyway.

Small hands...smells like cabbage. (from some Austin Powers movie) Mine is around 5 1/4 I think...

Vika said...

Haha, carnies... Small heads. Smell like cabbage. I remember that.

BTW, did I mention that Rafe wants to wear an "engagement" ring too. Does it make it "mangagement" ring?

J said...

LOL! Ok, does this mean he wants a man-shower, too? Are you going to officially propose to him down on one knee? Is it going to have pink diamonds?

Ok, but seriously, he wants 2 rings? What kind of rings?

Vika said...

OMG, I haven't heard of these man showers. Hilarious. Good for them though.

No, I'm not proposing. He only wants 2 rings because I'm getting 2. He wanted to give me one period. I insisted on an engagement ring and I am planning on us making the wedding bands ourselves at a workshop in NYC. I guess I want the two rings so people can tell I'm engaged. I don't really care about the ring so much.

Vika said...

Oh, and I forgot to answer what kind of rings. He's getting two bands. I'm getting him a 3mm white gold band for now. I wanted to do platinum but they are way expensive and I'll have to shell out for another one soon, so white gold it is.

This is the workshop.

J said...

Wait, so you want an engagement ring so people can tell you're engaged. So that's 1 ring, not 2. Then you'll get another one once you're actually wed.

The wedding band workshop is super cool...haven't gotten Mike to looking at rings yet. Mine's going to match my engagement ring. Platinum gets tarnished after awhile, it looks scratched like a sink kind of. That's why I went w/ white gold. Plus it can be re-dipped if necessary.

Anyone up for throwing them a surprise joint man-shower? hahahaha....

Vika said...

Yeah, I know, 1 ring to get engaged, 1 when you get married. Rafe just wanted to get 1 period - so use the engagement ring as wedding ring too.

Yeah, I'm excited about the workshop. Depending on how much I like my engagement ring, I may consider melting it and combining into something new for the wedding ring. We'll see.

Haha, man shower. Should totally do it.

Vika said...

Oh yeah, and I'm getting yellow gold. That's what I wear the most, so I figured I would just stick with it. I didn't realize that about platinum. Should we not get him one of those then?

J said...

Ok, got it, I was confused. You insisted on the engagement ring, right?

I think it would be something to the extent of booking rooms in AC....oh, wait, that's bachelor parties. They could go camping in VA!

Vika said...

Yes, that's going to be the ruby one. I think probably a ruby solitaire with yellow gold.

Haha, good luck tearing Rafe away from his laptop... :)

The workshop sounds cool and so very, Vika.

Good luck w/ the six month lease negotiation!
