Yet Another Wedding Website

This one has supplies, including the funny bride and groom cake toppers. I want to browse through it...

Found it through this blog, which I clicked on while searching for quiz bowl stuff at work.

Cute website and blog. Here's another one.

I feel like most of them just try to sell you stuff, or direct you to vendor's advertisements so they can sell you stuff. You have to be careful what you read from the WIC (Wedding Industrial Complex)...because they just want your money!

Yeah, Mike and his mom think wedding toppers are tacky, so we're just going to do flowers.

Vika said...

Yeah. But here's another one :)

Holy jeez. Ok, here are my favorites (blogs mostly):
SWS Mag
$10,000 only
DIY bride

Look, I can do html tags! I am also looking for any other preppy & southern wedding sites. I need some southern traditions, yall!

Of course they do... It is a huge industry! Why wouldn't people be doing that. Vendor websites can still give good ideas. I'll check out the ones you linked later.

I think toppers are tacky too, but I found it hilarious when someone snuck one on top of Katie Diacont/Tulloss's cake... It was meant to be tacky/humorous.

SWS had beautiful picture colleges and 10k wedding seems to have lots of info... Did you see the budget question? ;)

Classic Cake

Funny Topper (maybe only if you knew Katie)

Ooh, that's Katie's wedding... She's on facebook now.

I know! I emailed her the "reunion group" and she joined. ;)

Coolio

Ugh, I can't see any of your links bc of Websense at work.
No, I didn't see the budget question. That is the least fun out of everything to work on, which is why I haven't. But invites are fun!

They are links to pictures... You can see them later.

Do you want me to send you the Kodak Gallery albums for all the weddings I have been to and/or Amanda has been to (if I have Amanda's)?

It discusses asking people about their budgets and how it is a no-no, etc. I think you'd get a kick out of the discussion as it...

J said...

Yes, that would be fantastic, please do!!! Vika, can you do the same?

J said...

I can't find that post! Can you link to it?

Here is another wedding blog.

Website to help you do the seating chart for the wedding.

Sarah said...

Awesome that is free!

Sarah said...

Here is a different seating website, which charges for 50+ guests. I had it bookmarked at work.

*sigh* I need a place for everyone to sit, first. We are looking at venues this weekend.
1) Ash Lawn-Highland (Cville/Home of James Monroe
2) Swannanoa
3) Oak Ridge Estate
4) Mark Addy
5) Maymont

My mom has written us an itinerary. Vika, you and Rafe are penciled in for Saturday evening. :)

Vika said...

It's been forever since I've been to Ash Lawn, so don't remember much about that. But Sarah and I have some fond memories in Maymont. BTW, my mom found all those photos we took that day and now they are in the family album!

That's a lot of places to look at... How long are you in town?

We're definitely excited about Saturday. Packing all this week, so it'll be a nice break!

J said...

I don't think I've ever been to Ash Lawn. We're looking at garden sites, too. Doing about 2 places a day... driving down Thursday night and leaving Monday.

Maymont's beautiful and is Mike's current favorite. But it's far (for my parents) and of course is so not going to have the date we want....

Are we going to be able to see Rafe's new place, and/or the Kitchenaid?

Vika said...

You can see the KitchenAid, I'll leave it out until the last minute. No, on the new apartment since we can't move in there until the 8th! So we're actually double moving. To storage/my apartment, then again to his new apartment. What a pain.

Sarah said...

Maymont is convenient for guests flying in too, but it screws up your after party plan. Lauren Hefner (i.e. no sketchles Lauren) got married there... I'm sure she would be happy to give you info. Oh yeah. She also photographs weddings.

I think any of them will be beautiful. Don't act too excited or you'll have less room to negotiate. If you are eating a meal in Richmond, you should consider saying hi to my parents...

Can't believe those pictures are in a family album, V. I don't even think I've seen them all!

Double moving is an atrocity. Boo.

J said...

Maymont is convienent for guests flying in. My mom is not happy about it, but whatever.

Yes, I need that tip about negotiating. I tend to get excited...

Vika do yall need a truck? I'm not sure if my dad would lend his out (he barely let me drive it) but he might be willing to haul stuff for you!

Sarah said...

Well there are lots of factors to consider, so your Mom doesn't have to give up hope yet!

This should totally be its own post. :)

Well I kind of re-posted on my blog....Yeah, too bad you can't upgrade comments to a post.
