Last Friday I went to a dermatologist about my skin... She listened well and all has been good. Seeing how I threw up in a trash can on the way to work this morning and am still nauseated, I think the prescription portion may not work for me. How can I tell if it is the medicine or if I am sick?
By the way, this is what I am doing...
am:
doxycycline pill (one daily - she gave me 9 free ones to make sure it didn't affect my stomach)
clean & clear continuous control acne cleanser (bleaches towels, but kinda handy b/c it removed the step of putting the stuff on with my finger)
cleocin wash (it pats on like a sponge)
pm:
mild face wash (she recommends purpose)
cleocin wash (it pats on like a sponge)
**Okay. I seem to be better. Mint gum and tea have settled my stomach. Not sure why water and a peach would bother me like that.

Ok did you drink any last night? If not, then it's definitely your pill. Any other strange symptoms?
Btw on this show they did a semi-scientific test to see if ginger prevented nauseau, and it did! So the next time you go out drinking, eat some ginger or take a ginger pill when you get home and maybe you won't feel so sick the next day.
No drinking since last Saturday... I am saving up. ;)
I did have trouble swallowing the pill this morning for the first time. Maybe I gulped lots of air with it? I do feel achy though. Probably fine. :)
I always eat ginger when I am nauseated. I'll definitely try eating a chunk when I am drunk too. It might taste better that way. Only your ginger really tastes good sober!
I think the pill is making you sick. Gulping lots of air would just make you burp. You need to call your doctor & make an appointment.
The experiment they did used a ginger pill...so no yucky taste needed. :)
I'm glad the blurbs are back on the links. I missed knowing when y'all updated.
It probably is, but I want to try one more day making it a full week. This is a typical problem that prevents me from taking over-the-counter treatments. She said I didn't need to take food with it since it is coated and shouldn't release until it is out of my stomach therefore not bothering it. Maybe milk or yogurt to coat would work?
I would still eat with it or drink water or milk or something.
Where did the links go again? Who is doing that?! Mischevious.
hi, it's not a water and a peach, it's your medicine! i think blogger is having issues. Maybe they need mint and tea...
It didn't happen today... II think it was because I had trouble swallowing the pill yesterday. Mom said I should go speak to the pharmacist. My mouth still tastes metallic.
I thought your skin looked great this weekend, how is your stomach feeling now?
My stomach has been fine except for that one day. However, I now have been back off the medicine for 2 days. And my pharmacy is idiotic!
Jaime, remember how last night she said my prescription was for 100 mg? I went to the Dr's today for an issue with my finger and it is DEFINITELY 150 mg. I had the guy reprint it for proof.
I have to take a different antibiotic for the next 7-10 days for my finger. Then I can go back to Doryx. I hope this doesn't mess up the plan too much!
Yes, going to your pharmacy, as going to most up here, is an exercise in frustration.
What do you mean your finger? What are you talking about?
I didn't show you last night, because it wasn't that bad yet... I went to the doctor today though because the throbbing, heated finger kept me up. It is swollen and super hurts to type. Apparently, I have Paronychia. Random.
