DNA Art

It is definitely A Brave New World when you can purchase DNA portraits to hang in your home. This just seems kinda wrong, although certainly a unique idea.

I much prefer the simple geekiness of the USB jewelry I sent a few weeks ago.

I was going to add the Lifegems conversation to the archive, but I appear to have lost the chain of emails. Alas! Seeing how that was the first conversation leading up to this ridiculous blog.

I think I have the life gems conversation. I'll look it up on Monday. We're hanging out in AC this weekend. Thinking of going to get a massage now. :) Can't wait until next weekend! Woohoo!

I think the DNA portraits are a sham. How would we know if it really is ours or not? Have an outside scientist verify it? I'd rather have portraits of those with whom I share my DNA. :)

AC, fun! How's Rafe doing at the poker tables?

Yay! Lifegems conversation.

I suppose you can't verify. I just think the whole concept is kind of ridiculous.

CUTE phrasing. I like real pictures too.

So I got pricing info on the USB cufflinks by emailing the designer, info@toniawelter.de:

"the cufflinks are 350.- USD with 2 GB
366.- USD with 4 GB

you find a pricelist with all extras attached in Euro.
1 € = 1.60 USD

you can order via email directly from me, the designer.

delivery time
depends on actual stock
if not on stock 7-21 days

shipping terms
basic: 3-7 days / 8-12. - € (depends on weight)
premium: next day / 60.- €

payment terms
in advance in € via bank transfer/ wire transfer (you'll receive IBAN, SWIFT and account info with my invoice)"

A little pricey, if Mike had a million French Cuff shirts then maybe but he doesn't even have one!

I'm sure. I totally want to learn to solder stuff. Off topic, I know.

You want to learn everything! ;)

Won't you encounter a little bit of soldering in your ring making class?

I do want to learn everything :)

I think you should go back to school at VCU and get a BFA in Crafts and Jewelry making.
